Coaching FAQ

Here’s a list of frequently asked questions. Please read through this as it should answer most of your questions.  If something jumps out at you, please feel free to contact me

  • Who is this program for?
    • This program was designed to get people in the best shape of their life by incorporating daily activity/practice and skill development.  Since most people are busy, the short daily activities and modifiable workouts can fit into any schedule.  Through healthy eating and lifestyle management, the ideal client is someone who wants to lose between 10-40 pounds and wants to develop skills to succeed in the long term.  While the focus is health optimization, body fat loss is a good side effect.
  • Who is this program not for?
    • This is not for the competitive athlete, figure competitor, or those who have all of the accountability they need and are consistently doing the twenty four habits we prescribe in the program.
  • How is this program different than others?
    •  It focuses on long term change (which isn’t sexy but very successful).  Daily habits, awareness, psychology, and lifestyle management are all addressed, instead of the traditional “white knuckling you can’t see yourself doing in a year” type diet.
  • How long is the program?
    • The program is 12 months long.  A full year commitment is recommended but not required. You may cancel at any time.
  • Why is it 12 months long?
    •   That’s how long it takes to make long lasting changes permanent.  You’re not trying to fit a 6 week diet within a perfect 6 week span.  You get coached and learn strategies during all of the ups and downs we go through every year.
  • How much weight loss is typical?
    • At the moment this is too difficult to answer.  Most lose 10-20 pounds at least, but some have lost closer to 50, and I have had one who has currently lost 90 (with two months to go in the program).
  • Is this program guaranteed?
    • No.  This is a well-established and tested program which has been a life changer for tens of thousands of people.  Individual effort can vary.
  • How much does it cost?
    • $49/month.  The program retails for $179/month through Precision Nutrition itself.
  • How do I pay for it?
    • I use PayPal auto withdrawals at the same time each month.  I do not accept cash and only accept checks for a paid-in-full amount (10% discount).
  • Can I cancel at any time?
    • Yes
  • Do I get a meal plan?
    • No.  Meal plans don’t work for 90% of the population.  The program teaches you how to design meals with the foods you enjoy.
  • Do I have to buy any weird shakes, meals, pills or anything?
    • No.  However, some supplements may be recommended to fill in gaps in your nutrition.
  • I’ve never had a coach before.  How does that work?
    • In my honest opinion, coaching makes all the difference. We provide the extra accountability, guidance, additional education, identifying gaps, and help problem solve during sticking points.  That’s why there are thousands of diet books.  Lots of great information (and you’ll see a lot of it here), but there’s no personal touch, accountability, or troubleshooting. Real relationships work better.
  • How do the workouts work?
    • Based off your intake questionnaire and your weeklong self-analysis screen, we select one of the 28 different programs available.  Each day you’ll select between a full workout at a gym, home workout, quick workout, or your own workout.  Each workout consists of a warm up, strength training or cardio, and recovery.  You can modify every exercise you’re given (with a video/written demonstration) to complete with the equipment you have or your individual capabilities.
  • Will I need to buy equipment if I want to workout at home?
    • It’s recommended you get at least one dumbbell (10-40 lbs based on your sex, strength, and budget) and a couple of resistance bands.
  • How do you track my progress and keep me accountable?
    • You’ll complete a daily lesson with a short question, click yes/no for your daily habit, fill out daily workout information, take bi-weekly bodyweight and circumference measurements, and monthly progress photos.
